Set just outside Guildford in the heart of the outstandingly beautiful Surrey Hills, yet only 55 minutes from central London and close to the M25, this charming historical hotel is located in idyllic surroundings and is near to many attractions. Originally built in 1920 on the site of 2 cottages so the locals 'had somewhere to buy beer', the hotel takes its name from the whortleberries or 'hurts' which grow locally in the village on nearby Pitch Hill, the site of one of the village's scenic walks. Renovated in 2009, the hotel offers 21 guest rooms and facilities include a restaurant, bar and pub, a lobby with cloakroom, conference facilities and a car park.
