Located in Ax-les-Thermes, in the Ariège Pyrenees, the Vacancéole Le Domaine de la Vallée d’Ax*** residence is set 1 km from the AxBonascre gondola lift and the resort centre. Free shuttle buses operate in winter to reach the ski lifts. The Ax 3 Domaines ski area offers 83 km of slopes across three sectors – Saquet, Les Campels and Bonascre – between 1, 400 m and 2, 400 m altitude, ranking among the main
ski areas in the French Pyrenees.
The residence offers accommodation for 2 to 6 guests, all featuring a balcony or terrace. Ski lockers are available. An outdoor swimming pool is open from mid-June to mid-September. A buffet breakfast service is available. Free outdoor parking is provided. Raclette and fondue sets are available on loan subject to availability.
In summer, the destination provides access to hiking at Col du Chioula, Plateau de Beille and Vallée d’Orlu, as well as downhill mountain biking and the Akrobranch d’Orlu adventure park. The Couloubret thermal baths, Lake Campauleil and Étang des Bésines enhance the leisure offer, alongside visits to Foix and Montségur castles and the Cave of Niaux. Andorra, located 30 minutes away, offers additional
excursion opportunities.
In winter, the Ax 3 Domaines ski area features 83 km of slopes suitable for all levels. Snowshoeing, ice waterfall climbing and dog sledding provide mountain experiences, while the ice rink, cinema, casino and the Basse hot water foot bath complement the activities in this wellknown thermal resort.
