The hotel is located in a quiet area in the small town of Cleator, with easy access to the larger towns and the stunning scenery afforded by the lakes. It is an ideal base for visiting the many attractions of the West Coast of England, such as the stunning Lake District and the beautiful seaside town of St. Bees. The hotel is approximately 10 km from Whitehaven.

This is a Grade II listed building nestled within 2 hectares of tranquil landscaped gardens and Italian fountains. Through the large, beautifully refurbished hallways there are painstakingly restored original fireplaces and ceilings. There are 30 guest rooms in total at this country house. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and 24-hour check-out service. There is also a bar and a restaurant on the premises. Those arriving by car may leave their vehicles in the hotel's garage.

The individually styled rooms give a relaxing and comforting space to return to after a day at work or leisure. Each room has an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath and a hairdryer and features a double bed, TV, a radio and Internet access. Tea and coffee making facilities provide added convenience and some rooms have direct access to the lawns and gardens.

The hotel serves breakfast. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed à la carte.

By car: Following the signs for Cleator, from any of the major road networks, will bring guests to the small town. The hotel is situated on the main road through the town.
