The village of Gordes, perched on its rock in the Luberon region, is one of the most splendid sites in the whole of Provence, with its little winding streets of local stone. The castle was rebuilt in 1525 but dates back to 1031. It binds the architecture of the troubled times of the Middle Ages to the new lifestyle of the Renaissance. The imposing building was heavily defended by round towers which support a crown of battlements, a terrace for artillery, and blast walls with 3 floors of Renaissance windows. This bungalow complex welcomes guests in a lobby. A car park is available for those guests arriving by car. The duplex apartments come with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchenette with vitroceramic hotplates, a microwave, oven and a dishwasher.
