Villa Karmaniolos is located in the quaint little hamlet of Markandonata (close to the picturesque fishing port of Fiscardo) and is blessed with an exquisite palette of panoramic views including the white cliffs of the Lixouri Peninsula , lush green oak and cypress woodlands, all framed with the immense lapis lazuli blues of the Ionian Sea. Here, at sunset, one can experience the most humbling experience whilst listening to the intermittent charming sounds of goat bells. Villa Karmaniolos has been impeccably designed (crossover between mountain and summer vacation home plans) to take full advantage of this remarkable setting lot. Common unique features include huge full height windows and large terraces to help take in the majestic views of the surrounding natural beauty. This spacious and luxurious villa is spread over two floors. Immediately on opening the front door upstairs, one steps onto a galleried salon with comfortable seating and office/desk furnishings embraced with a beautifully crafted wooden high-ceiling, exposing dark chestnut rugged beams. Beyond the salon’s balusters, the picture-postcard view is stupendous! Adjacent to the salon are two bedrooms, one being the master bedroom with a queen sized double bed, an en suite bathroom and large terrace; the other with large bunk twin beds and an en suite shower. Downstairs is the cosily furnished living and dining room with fireplace, and a fully equipped open plan kitchen. Leading off here on one side is a further twin bedroom with additional shower room and a second master bedroom with an en suite bathroom. This whole floor opens up onto the front terrace boasting perhaps the largest piano shaped infinity pool in the area and a commodious sun terrace. What stands out perhaps more than anything else is the villa’s al fresco dining arbour (leading off from the other side of the main kitchen) which is nothing but a lean to roofing system mimicking the design of a pergola and was built using natural wood. The space under the pergola designed in a charming fashion sports a concrete king-sized tiled table. Adjoining this area is a fully-equipped barbecue, outdoor kitchen, and changing room with shower / toilet facilities. Villa Karmaniolos, admittedly provides the perfect recipe for a cosy haven of luxury relaxation ….relishing a comfortable grandstand view for those stunning Ionian Sunsets.
