Casa de São Lourenço - Burel Panorama Hotel, opened in 2018, is the only 5-star mountain hotel in Portugal, located at an altitude of 1, 250 meters. More than 250km of marked trails for trekking and mountain biking extend from the hotel, offering guided and self-guided exploration of untouched landscapes, peaks, valleys, historic villages, and unique mountain heritage. In the summer, guests can swim in the warm waters of nearby lagoons, explore them by kayak, and discover the mountain's rivers. The hotel offers daily guided tours to the Burel Factory, a heritage wool factory where 19th-century looms produce woolen goods, blankets, and burel—a traditional Portuguese fabric dating back to the 11th century.
