The Old Talbott Tavern, built in 1779, is the oldest bourbon bar in the world and is within walking distance from the hotel. Those looking to drink up some history of the town can explore Spalding Hill, a hospital during the Civil War that has now been transformed into a museum showcasing the history of bourbon.
