Set within 24 acres of manicured gardens in the beautiful English countryside, this classic country house hotel is a desirable destination in itself. On-site, the 18th-century stable block houses a pub, restaurant, and microbrewery producing eight premium ales, even offering tours. Enjoy a quintessentially British afternoon tea in the Edwardian tearoom. For adventure, the Beamish Wild Outdoor Adventure Park and High Ropes Course are located on the hotel grounds. This lovingly restored 13th-century country house retains its traditional grandeur, boasting period features such as ornate ceilings, carved oak fireplaces, chandeliers, and stained glass windows. These elegant spaces are ideal for weddings, and the dedicated staff will ensure your special day is perfect. The hotel is a 25-minute drive from both Newcastle, a hub for business and nightlife, and Durham, home to the Romanesque Durham Cathedral and 13th-century Durham Castle. Please note: Dinner-inclusive stays offer a 3-course meal (excluding steaks).
