Originally the site of a famous Gunpowder Works, this listed building is infused with a rich history as evidenced by its many period features such as the grand entrance hall, roaring log fires, antique furniture and paintings as well as the charming drawing room. Now privately owned, it has been sympathetically converted into a magnificent Hotel, yet still retains the ambience of a traditional Georgian Country House. The surrounding grounds are a haven of natural beauty, here guests can walk through the scenic woodland trails, fish at the seven-acre lake or simply relax and absorb the peaceful atmosphere Each of the 40 en-suite bedrooms are individually styled and decorated, perfectly reflecting the attractive allure of the rest of the House.
