The hotel resides in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ironbridge Gorge and overlooks the gorge itself. Although the coal-mining industry once dominated the area, the views today are far more picturesque, with the rocky gorge and green surrounds punctuated by the majestic bridge. Birmingham International Airport is some 80 km from the hotel, while Coventry Airport is about 99 km away.
