The boat hotel is tucked away in Edinburgh city centre's Lochrin Basin and accessed via Lower Gilmore Place at Tollcross, making it a superb base for exploring the delights Edinburgh has to offer. The tourist centre is within about 500 m. Edinburgh Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 13 km.
The luxurious boat hotel is berthed in the heart of Edinburgh, just minutes from Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. It is a permanently moored wide-beamed barge measuring 17 m by 3 m, sleeping up to 4 adults and two children comfortably. It offers excellent self-catering holiday accommodation. It was built in 2010 and offers 3 rooms. Guests may hire bicycles on site.
The boat hotel offers two double cabins with a plasma TV with free satellite/cable channels and DVDs as well as a recess with bunk beds and a lounge with a bed-settee and plasma TV. The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower and hairdryer, while further standard in-room amenities include a double bed, a radio with a hi-fi, Internet access, an ironing set, individually regulated heating and a terrace. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities.
Sun loungers have been laid out for use.
From Edinburgh Airport, take the A8 through Corstophine to Haymarket Terrace and follow signs for the city centre. Continue onto Shandwick Place and make a right turn onto Lothian Road. Continue on Lothian road, following signs for the A702. At the top of Lothian Road/Earl Grey Street there is a junction with 3 forks, take the right-hand lane onto Home Street (A702). Once on Home Street, take the right-hand lane and turn right onto Gilmore Place (the King's Theatre will be on the left). Drive on for about 100 metres and Gilmore Place Church will be seen on the left. Take the right-hand turn onto Lower Gilmore Place immediately opposite.
