Quinta dos Perfumes

Overview

The history of the Quinta dos Perfumes begins in the 1950s, with the creation of a factory that distilled mallows (Malva) to produce fragrant essential oils.
In the 1970s, when the factory was no longer in operation, the farm was acquired by the family of the present owners, who converted it and planted vineyards of different table wine varieties.
Around the year 2000, the second generation of the family opted to convert the 40 hectares of the existing crop into a citrus orchard, one of the traditional cultures of the Algarve. Years later, already in the third generation, the family decided to create a hotel unit that opened to the public in 2013.
This was the beginning of Quinta dos Perfumes.
The Farm has an excellent location, bordered in the North by EN125 road and approximately at a 10 minutes walking distance of the villages Conceição and Cabanas de Tavira with their paradise island.
It is situated close to four golf courses (Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima, Quinta do Vale and Quinta de Benamor), and it is both near the Algarve eastern (sotavento) eco-track and one Iberian pilgrimage route of the Caminhos de Santiago (the Ways of Saint James).
A great way to get to know the Quinta is to use one of its bicycles to ride around the space. In this walk it is almost impossible not to cross with hares, rabbits, partridges and other birds that inhabit the farm. If you are lucky you can also spot the foxes and eagles that surround the sky of the farm.
The Farm has an outdoor salt water swimming-pool, secluded inside the orange grove, where you may relax in the sun and have a drink at the end of the day.
At the Rooftop terrace, the landscape stretches far beyond the orange grove until you find the sea on one side and the Algarve mountain range on the other. It is the ideal place to enjoy our bar service, read a book or just ease up.
The Farm has no restaurant service, but it is possible to prepare light meals.
