Delete your data
You can ask us to erase the personal data we hold about you at any time. There are two ways, depending on whether you have an account.
1. You have an account
Sign in, open Privacy and data in your account menu and use Delete your account. Your personal data is removed immediately and you are signed out.
Sign in and delete my account2. You booked as a guest or used social sign-in
Every booking comes with an account under the email you used, and so does every Google, Facebook or Apple sign-in. Sign in with that email (we send a one-time code, no password needed), open Privacy and data and use Delete your account. Newsletter-only subscribers can use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.
Sign in with that emailWhat is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number, postal address, date of birth, gender and profile photo
- Your sign-in methods: password, Google, Facebook and Apple links, and every device or app session
- Your wishlist, price alerts and newsletter subscription
- Payment-provider customer references (card details are never stored by us)
What is kept
Records of bookings you made (the reservation, its price and its invoice) are kept for accounting, tax and dispute reasons for as long as the law requires, typically up to ten years. They are no longer linked to a profile, and the account row itself only holds an anonymous placeholder so those records still add up. Server logs with technical data are rotated automatically within a few weeks.
How long it takes
Self-service deletion from your account is immediate. Requests through the form are answered within 30 days, usually within a few working days, once you have confirmed the email link. You receive a confirmation email when it is done.
